Candied Bakery

81a Hudsons Rd, Spotswood 3015
Date visited: 8th November 2014

Our food adventure of the day was not yet through!  Because it was such a stinkin' hot day, and we were already in Footscray, we decided to make the short drive down to Spotswood, to none other than Candied Bakery, another spot that I've always wanted to visit.

It was quiet when we got there mid afternoon.

Look at their indulgent array of goodies.  Doughnuts, brownies, cakes, pastries, tarts, cookies, pies... my kinda heaven!

Too hot for a regular coffee, but perfect for a Cold drip.  This one was a Brazilian, syrupy and almost liquor-like with notes of fruitiness.  Lovely.

We also tried the Soft serve.  Candied Bakery has an always changing array of flavours, and today's was raspberry cheesecake.  This was just absolutely divine!  Smooth, creamy soft serve interspersed with chunks of semi-frozen tangy raspberry cheesecake with a slight chew.  This was seriously one of the best soft serves I've had.  Sooo good.

Lastly, we also bought a slice of the Key lime pie for later.  The combination of the salty sweet biscuity shell and tangy lime centre was perfection.  Loved this too.

Everything we sampled at Candied Bakery was outstanding, and can't wait to go back and try more of their delectable goodies!
